Over the past few months I have been working on a submission to the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) to try and acquire a distinction. Thanks to a few friends from the society in the local area I have been putting together a panel of around 15 images. The first part of the process takes part in April and the final submission later in the year. It's not a simple process and the quality of images required is very high. Lets hope this experience improves my photography and continues to take me out of my photographic comfort zone!

Read MoreI am a winner
Hot off the press "I am a winner". This month I was lucky enough to be a winner in the Royal Photographic Societies Review of the Year 2016 photographic competition. The name of the photograph is the "Cornish Wave"
I don't know if many people know but I am a full time photographer living in Cornwall and am part of Truro Camera Club. In 2016 I took part in their Cornish themed competition, which got me thinking about how I could best represent this stunning county.
The area is famous for its fabulous surf and so combining the various images I had captured from all over the area in the form of a wave with a surfer seemed the perfect solution.
Each image was individually processed in Adobe Lightroom and Silver Efex before being contorted into the final image in Photoshop. More of my images can be viewed at paulbnashphotography.com and can be purchased at the website shop.
If you want to see the winning images take a look at the Royal Photographic Society Webpage at https://www.rps-365.org/events/365/winners/
