Following on from the new Truro tab on the website I am now developing more of a wider Cornish theme. Our local camera club has a focus on everything Cornish hence a new project has been born. I am currently working on 6 new images that will provide a view of how Cornwall could be represented. Not to everybody's taste but an opportunity to try out a few new techniques. Watch this space.

Since moving to Truro in 2011 I have developed a real love of the city from its simplistic layout to its day to day workings. This has been a great opportunity through photography to capture elements of its architecture and people. To this end I have incorporated a new Tab onto the website focussed on Truro in the UK with a series of photographs that I intend to expand on over the coming year. These Telephone boxes in Truro are near Mannings hotel and restaurant . There are 4 Telephone boxes in operation which is unusual in most cities now.

Again I have continued with my experimentation with the lightbox. More botanical studies have been produced including the new Cosmos image and something new with a series of Shells collected from the Isles of Scilly in Cornwall England UK. This perfect all round lighting provides a mesmorising display and makes whatever you use jump off the page. Further experimentation is now required to take the process further, which will be very exciting over the coming weeks.

So I been trying something different! Trying to create a few different still lifes based on collections of objects. My first attempt has focussed on spherical objects. To achieve this it is necessary to create a series of composite images that are combined to create a final image. Take a look and if you want something specific in terms of objects let me know and I can create something for you!

Annual membership of the Zoo brings about plenty of opportunities to capture animals. Many of the black background shots I have captured have been completed in similar locations. Technically this can be a challenge with wide apertures and zoom lenses looking for an animal in the sun with the background in shade. Lets hope we get the opportunity today to capture more of these glorious creatures whilst highlighting the plight of many of these mammals in the wild.

You may have spotted one of my fountains abbey shots. The cross underneath the abbey shot in what seems like a huge vaulted area. This stunning location is a world heritage site and the opportunity to take fabulous photographs is around every corner. The Cross photograph is one of many super shots captured here and I will be publishing a few more of them on the site including both colour and black and white.

This month I won the Cornwall today monthly photographic competition. The photo selected was of Holywell bay in Cornwall England UK. A simple black and white shot of the beach's two islands and a simple piece of seaweed. Simplicity at its best proving that complexity in photography is not always required.

New website up and running
I am an artistic man who loves making photographs. I enjoy time in galleries and spending time with my wife and three children. I am a very lucky man in that my work allows me to travel the world whilst being based in two beautiful locations, Cornwall in the UK and Toulouse in France. This allows me plenty of time to work on my personal projects, traveling and collaborating with other people. I enjoy assignments and new projects but I am particularly fascinated by the Cornish landscape and Wildlife
